At only 17 years of age, Tiare has accomplished so much in her surfing career. Tiare was born in La Jolla, California and she is being raised in the community of Bird Rock in La Jolla. Tiare enjoys surfing everyday at a world renowned reef break known as WindanSea Beach and a number of other great surfing spots right in her backyard. Tiare competitively surfs in the World Surf League Womens Qualifying Series & Junior Womens Tour (national and international events), USA Surfing America Prime, and Rip Curl GromSearch.
2016/2017 Tiare earned a California State Title in the SSS (Scholastic Surf Series) High School short board division.
2015/2016 Tiare earned two California state titles. One in the SSS high school level Open Women’s Short Board and one in the NSSA Open Women’s Short Board.
2014/2015 Tiare earned 1st place SSS “Scholastic Surf Series” (middle school) Girls shordboard and 2nd place Girls longboard. 2nd Place NSSA Open State Championships.
She earned 4 California State Titles in the 2013/2014 season. 1 in the SSS “Scholastic Surf Series” (middle school) Girls short board, 1 in the WSA “Western Surf Association”, girls under the age 16 short board, NSSA “National Scholastic Surf Association”, Explorer girls 14 and under, short board,and 1 in the NSSA Open Girls, 14 and under short board.
She has been chosen by the USA Surf Team to represent the United States every year since 2014! Tiare was chosen to represent the USA in the ISA (International Surfing Association) Junior Championships in Oceanside, California, October 2015. The USA Surf Team won the event with a team Gold Medal for the first time in 33 years of ISA competition.
Tiare is currently 1 of 4 Jr. Women to represent the USA in the under 18 division as of 2017-2018.
Tiare will represent USA in the PAN America games in Peru, Dec 2-9 2018
